LR Training and Behaviour Terms and Conditions:

  1. Sessions will take place at your home, or at another suitable location, depending on agreement. Consultations at your home may involve going on walks, or out to other locations depending on requirements.

  2. Payment for any service must be made prior to sessions.  Mileage at 50p a mile may be applicable for home/location visits, depending on location. Payment can be made via online card payment, BACS and cash payment (on agreement with LR Training and Behaviour). Unfortunately, cheques are not accepted.

  3. Cancellation requires at least 48 hours’ notice if a session has been paid for. Depending on the reason provided, the session may be rearranged. If you do not attend a session or are not at home when a session has been arranged, the full amount will be charged. If for any reason LR Dog Training and Behaviour needs to cancel then a full refund will be given, via the same method of payment within 14 days, or another session will be arranged.

  4. LR Dog Training will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions; including, but not limited to: excessive heat, torrential rain, thunder storms and snow/ice.

  5. Please note, 1-2-1 training sessions cannot cover behavioural issues, if a behaviour issue is the problem a behaviour consultation will need to be booked.

  6. Dogs must be always kept under control when we enter your premises. Failure to do so and any injury caused by your dog being out of control will be your full responsibility.

  7. Veterinary referral is necessary for a behavioural consultation to take place, to ensure medical history is taken into account when assessing behaviour.

  8. A behavioural consultation report will be emailed to you within 2 weeks of the consultation.

  9. Methods used are all force free, positive and reward based. Results are unlikely to be instant, however with commitment, excellent long term results can be achieved.

  10.  LR Dog Training will take precautions to ensure the safety of dogs and handlers as best as possible, however it is always the responsibility of the client to take responsibility for the welfare and control of their dog during, before and after sessions.

  11. Please wear appropriate clothing, including flat and enclosed shoes. The training is likely to involve physical activity, possibly outside, therefore suitable clothing is advised.

  12. LR Dog Training and Behaviour will take no responsibility for any illnesses your dog may contract, whilst training takes place at any location.

  13. LR Dog Training and Behaviour has appropriate insurance in place, however, any accident or injury during training sessions may not be covered if you have failed to use appropriate equipment or fail to follow all given advice.

  14. LR Dog Training and Behaviour hopes that all advice given is useful and helpful, however cannot take any responsibility for the misinterpretation of advice.

  15. LR Dog Training uses reward-based training techniques, which use play, food and praise.
